Remember when you would by a new Ford truck and drive to a Truck accessory shop to have it lifted, bigger tires, larger wheels, better shocks and maybe an E-locker differential so you could travel off-road with out any problems with clearance or poor capabilities? Well, those days are over.

Now you can go down to your local Ford store and order an F150 Tremor. That’s right, 33” tires, lockers and a lift kit all under factory warranty. That doesn’t mean break something by driving crazy and they will cover it. Look before you leap.

The Tremor comes with 33” General Grabber all terrain tires mounted on matte black 18” wheels. Tremor specific monotube shocks in the front and twin tube shocks on the rear, tuned to give you the best results on and off road.

Powertrain: 

3.5 L Eco Boost V6 engine with twin intercooled turbos producing 400 horse power and 500 lb ft of torque. Mated to a 10-speed transmission with progressive range select. Hi-lock transfer case, front axle Torsen differential with 3.73 gear ratio which are just low enough to handle the 33” tires but not too low that will cause any problems on the highway. The Tremor has very similar features as the Raptor. Unique control arms and front knuckles, electronic rear differential, hill assist start, hill descent. Selectable drive modes are: Normal, ECO, Sport, Tow haul, Slippery, Deep Snow/Sand, Mud/Ruts, and Rock Crawl.

Exterior:

The exterior front and rear body color matched bumpers with an orange line running through the grill and LED headlights. The hood is a Tremor specific design and overall gives the truck a more aggressive profile. LED cornering lamps adjust with the movement of the truck so no more trees jumping out at you.

Interior: 

In the cab comforts include front bucket seats with flow through center console covered in a sport cloth material with the ability to fold the floor shifter away to create more room to work. The rear seats are a 60/40 flip up split bench. Optional heated leather trimmed bucket seats with unique Tremor logo stitched in. Standard AM/FM Stereo, SiriusXM with 360L AND Ford Sync 4 with enhanced voice recognition all on an 8” center stack screen. Option for a B&O sound system by Bang & Olufsen on a 12” center stack screen.

Safety: 

For Safety the Tremor has front driver and passenger airbags along with seat mounted side airbags. Side curtain bags run full length of the interior cab. 2022 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro

Go back in time when Back to the future was just coming out in movie theaters. There is a reason why Marty McFly was driving a Toyota 4x4.

It was popular and Toyota pickups were everywhere in North America. Were they under powered, sure. Did they feel stiff to drive, yes. Was your arm tired from shifting gears all the time. Maybe, but that was the fun in owning a 4×4 truck. You learned to adapt and you had fun driving it. Who wouldn’t have fun driving along a ravine with a hundred-foot cliff 3 inches from the passenger side and the back tires digging in as you release the clutch. Or coming down from a mountain logging road and falling into a washed-out creek. Fun!  Now you strap a 500lb tent on top of the box and drive to work everyday wondering if you should open it up and see how the tent sets up.

Not to mention the gas you’re burning with all that weight your driving around with. Well not to worry because the Toyota Tacoma TRD is here to rekindle that lost spirt. And yes, it has an optional 6 speed manual transmission.

Classic interior with many tech upgrades. The Tacoma is equipped with a 3.5-litre, DOHC V6 with VVT-I mated to a 6-speed automatic or 6 speed manual transmission. The engine puts out 278 hp and 265 lb ft of torque. This combination of power and size allows you to tow up to 6500 lb and is equipped with trailer sway control.

Available electronically controlled locking differential provides more traction on the  rear wheels. A Multi Terrain select regulates wheelspin by automatically adjusting the engine throttle and brakes, helping improve traction. Available crawl control that adjusts acceleration and braking when driving over rocks or slippery terrain and minimizes wheelspin and wheel lock up.
